The Week of Contemporary Art is a widespread show that in 2013 involved 95 museums, public and private institutions, foundations and cultural organizations, galleries, historic buildings, showrooms and places of Brera and Milan, over and above 464 Italian and international artists.
Participants are Milanese and international art galleries engaged with its own achievements, cultural co-production, twinning and partnerships; in companie's showrooms, public and private museums, historic buildings, public places, will be imbued with contemporary art.
BRER is not only a cultural project aimed at reviving and promoting the Italian adn international visual culture, but a real partnership with the city for the exhibitions and events, as well as special services and a multitude of other opportunities for the visitors.
Thanks to the joint efforts of public and private institutions, the weekend dedicated to the largest exhibition of Italian art for the international market, also becomes an opportunity to know and discover the extraordinary historical buildings and cultural sites transformed by contemporary art. An exceptional journey from the galleries to the city that offers a free but systematic proposal of contemporary art.
